What's group therapy like?
Sometimes struggling can feel really isolating. Group therapy helps to provide a safe space to connect, give, and receive support. It may provide a sense of community & belonging. Groups will often begin with a mindfulness-based exercise to focus our minds on the present, followed by reflection, discussion, and sometimes activities based around the group therapy theme. Sometimes all we need is to feel less alone and for others to understand our experiences.
